    After receiving the mattress I was anxious to open it up and see how long it would take to expand to its full size. The plastic that contained the mattress was easily removed. It was easier to remove the mattress from the cardboard container and slide it on the carpeting of the house to get it to the bedroom rather than carry the carton, since it's pretty heavy. It weighs approximately 60 to 70 pounds so it is not very easily carried. I actually expected it to take several hours to expand fully too it's full queen size. However, it only took about 15 to 20 minutes until it expanded to its full 10 inch thickness. There were quite a few reviews where they mentioned an odor after they opened it up. There was not a strong odor at all. To smell anything I had to put my nose on the mattress. When I did that I could smell a chemical smell. However it was not very strong. I'm sure that it will dissipate after a few days. After only about eight hours open and on our bed my wife and I slept on it the first night. My wife said that she never slept so good in her life. I on the other hand felt it was a little bit hard or rather it was harder than our previous mattress which was an older, 10 years old, memory foam mattress. I think I will have to sleep on it a couple nights to really get used to it. So far I am pleased with it but like I said I will have to sleep on it a couple nights but before I really get used to it. Our previous memory foam mattress was quite a bit softer and in fact it was getting so soft and I would wake up with some backaches. It was very difficult to sleep on your side, on the old mattress, and that is why I got a new one. I will say that our new perfect cloud mattress is very much suited for side sleeping it was very comfortable in that position. When I would lie on my back it did feel harder. An added note about the chemical smell. On the first night of sleeping on it I have to admit I did smell the chemical smell but after 3-4 days it could not be smelled. Also, after having the mattress for over a week now I have to say it's great! With our old memory foam mattress we felt like we were sleeping in a hole.

    It's a little firmer than we thought...we were hoping it would be a little squishier (in a good way??) . My back pains are gone but my neck is still hurting.. so maybe thats our pillow? I've always had neck problems though so I don't blame it on the mattress...I was just hoping the mattress would help with it more. Great quality for the price! No smell. Really easy to open and set up!
